Cost Accountant

Electrolit is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to support the finance team by monitoring production costs, analyzing inventory, and ensuring accurate cost reporting. This role works closely with operations, supply chain, and accounting to provide financial insights that improve efficiency and support business decisions.

The Overview

Joined Electrolit Manufacturing USA during the launch of its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Waco, Texas—a $400 million, 600,000-square-foot, highly automated beverage production plant designed to support the company's rapid growth across North America. The facility manufactures Electrolit, a premium hydration beverage owned by Pisa Pharmaceuticals and distributed in the U.S. through Keurig Dr Pepper. The Waco plant is expected to employ more than 200 professionals and technicians and serves as Electrolit's flagship U.S. production operation.

The Role

Prepare and analyze standard product costs, ensuring accurate cost allocation for raw materials, labor, and manufacturing overhead. Monitor production costs and perform detailed variance analysis to identify cost drivers and recommend process improvements. Reconcile inventory balances, support cycle counts, and ensure accurate inventory valuation in accordance with GAAP. Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Production, and Procurement teams to improve manufacturing efficiency and cost control. Prepare monthly cost reports, inventory reconciliations, and financial analyses to support plant leadership and executive decision-making. Support month-end and year-end close activities, including inventory accounting, journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations. Assist in the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models for manufacturing operations. Analyze manufacturing KPIs, including material usage, labor efficiency, scrap, yield, and overhead absorption. Maintain and update standard costing within the ERP system, ensuring accurate product costing and inventory records. Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Identify cost-saving opportunities through continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional collaboration. Develop financial reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights into production performance and operational profitability.

The Hiring Manager

Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the Vice President of Finance and partners closely with Plant Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Production leadership to deliver accurate cost analysis, financial reporting, inventory controls, budgeting support, and strategic insights that drive operational efficiency and informed business decisions.

Your Team

Direct Reports: Supervise two direct reports, providing leadership, training, and performance management while overseeing daily cost accounting activities, inventory reconciliations, financial reporting, and process improvements to ensure accurate and timely financial operations.
