The Overview
IDEX Corporation ($3.3B fluid and metering manufacturer, HQ Chicago) is looking for a Cost Accounting Manager for their Mott division in Farmington, CT. IDEX is known for the strength of their Finance Department — training and developing their Accounting and Finance team for progressive responsibility. Mott is a newly acquired division experiencing rapid growth. The division produces just over $200M in revenue.
The Role
This role requires advanced accounting skills, strong communication and partnership with Operations, and a deep understanding of GAAP and SOX. The Cost Accounting Manager needs to be a true costing SME. You will come in and tackle overhauling their complicated costing process — with no extensive hand-holding. Key responsibilities include month-end close, variance analysis, weekly inventory and COGS forecasting, cost revaluation, physical inventory count leadership, and providing financial analysis for capital expenditures.
