The Overview
This employer ranks among the very top bedding manufacturers globally, with a portfolio of well-known sleep brands covering every segment of the market from value to premium. Operating in well over a hundred countries, the company recently brought a major retail partner in-house and is now driving a vertical-integration agenda that keeps finance squarely in the middle of decisions that matter. The Senior Cost Accountant will join a centralized Cost Accounting shared-service group responsible for standard costing across U.S. and international manufacturing operations. Expect a high-volume seat with heavy cross-functional exposure.
The Role

Development to cost upcoming launches, building the standard cost framework that lets plants transact on new SKUs immediately. Each year you'll play a central part in the standard cost roll — including labor and overhead rate work developed alongside Operations Finance and engineering time studies. Because the group supports multiple legal entities across the U.S., a Caribbean territory, and neighboring North American countries, the scope is truly multi-entity.
In Our Words
Anyone who can talk through a journal entry and then describe how they built or audited an item cost will jump to the front of the line. Folks coming out of public accounting usually settle in quickly — the range of work feels familiar, minus the 60-to-70-hour weeks. Work-life balance is genuinely strong; the shared-service model brings real advantages.
The Hiring Manager

The Culture
This is a shared-service group, so sharing the load during busy stretches is both expected and returned in kind. Internally the vibe gets summed up as 'we, not me' — and that's no throwaway line, since the entire workflow is built around covering one another across several plants. The people who do well are curious, strong communicators who stay comfortable when priorities shift quickly. Those who prefer to keep purely heads-down and quiet have tended to have a harder time fitting in.
